It's been working flawlessly since I got the new router and I couldn't be happier. I find a cheap 2nd hand asus RT-AC66U B1, flash custom firmware, set it up, test some bluray streaming, all working exceptionally well, I can finally enjoy planet earth in 4K HDR glory. But then surprise, chromecast starts working, google home detects my tv, kodi starts forwarding playback information and controls to my phone, I even turn on ambient mode and have my google photo collection shuffling around on my tv which just sits there open, in chromecast mode. Google home app would not detect my tv at all.Fast forward a couple of days and I decide to get a new router because I didn't feel like plugging a network cable into my tv. Hell, even voice search via remote didn't work at all. Sadly my shitty router was not up to scratch for streaming 4k blurays over wifi so I started hunting for a replacement. While on my shitty router, google stuff simply refused to work. When I got the tv, I tried using it with my pre-existing router (some crappy ZTE PON with 2.4ghz wifi built-in). Now to your question: I've had an interesting experience with the google integration. Youtube works great too, 4K/HDR/Dolby is all pristine. Been streaming 4k HDR movies nonstop over plex. Very happy with the performance, cleaned up all the unnecessary bloat and it's running crazy fast. Got my 58PUS8505/12 pretty recently as well. Netflix is also broken, Youtube and Spotify works almost perfectly. UPDATE/Solution?: I renamed my TV from "TV" to "Philips TV" and it seems Google Home started to work from time to time. Do you have similar problems or is it just me? ![]() Both voice control and casting are crucial to me. I know it may seems stupid but I use my TV rather as a screen. Even the launcher is loading everytime I go back home. This is rather a complain but is it just me or this TV is killing apps like crazy.Supporting app on TV is running in the background, the result is still the same if I try to uninstall the updates. Chromecast built in works - 10 minutes after turning on the TV, then it simply disappears as a target from all my apps.It is, it worked completely fine on my way older Android TV and Mi Box. I get no response from Google Home or I get the usual "check the manual whether this is supported". If there is any signal interference or the distance between the devices can cause the issue.Just like any other problem, first, restart your TV.If Philips TV does not find Bluetooth, ensure both devices are compatible. I cannot turn it off (or on) with just my voice. Philips Android TV Bluetooth not working mostly happens due to incompatibility of the devices. Google Home integration is messed up as hell! Technically, the TV has been added to Google Home app and I can change its volume but here it ends. ![]() Could you please help with these issues? I have tried everything, from factory resseting, linking different Google accounts to contacting the support. until I want to cast something or turn it off. I am beyond amazed how amazing my new Philips 58PUS8505/12 TV is.
